Privacy policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Craft Pilot (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates craftpilot.co. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you browse our store, place an order, submit a custom project, or contact us. Our store is hosted by Shopify.

For advertising-related opt-outs, visit Your Privacy Choices. For other privacy requests, email hello@craftpilot.co. This policy is a notice about our practices; it does not replace consent where consent is required.

1. Information we collect

  • Contact and account information: your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and information associated with an account you choose to use.
  • Orders and transactions: products viewed, saved, or purchased; personalization choices; payment confirmations; order history; returns; and correspondence about a purchase. Payment providers process payment credentials under their own security and privacy practices.
  • Custom project materials: names, dates, messages, photos, logos, artwork, design files, proofs, and other information you submit for a quote or order. This may include information about a gift recipient.
  • Communications and reviews: messages, support requests, feedback, and reviews you provide. Content you choose to post publicly may be visible to others.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, approximate location inferred from technical information, and interactions with our store, emails, or advertisements, collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.

We receive information directly from you, automatically when you interact with our services, and from providers and partners supporting payments, Shopify services, shipping, analytics, support, and advertising. Please submit only the information needed for your request and ensure you have authority to provide information or images relating to another person.

2. How we use information

We use information to prepare quotes and proofs; personalize and fulfill orders; process payments; arrange delivery or pickup; provide account features and support; manage corrections and returns; communicate about transactions; improve the store; detect fraud; and meet legal, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations.

We also use information for marketing, measurement, and advertising, subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in the message. If you sign up for text marketing, follow the opt-out instructions in those messages. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary order or service messages.

3. Custom artwork and recipient information

Information and files submitted for a custom project are used to review the request, prepare the design, produce the item, and support the order. Relevant information may be handled by service providers assisting with those purposes.

Submitting private artwork, photos, or personalized order details for production does not by itself authorize us to publish them in advertising or a portfolio. Any such use requires separate permission or another applicable authorization. Content you independently post publicly, such as a public product review, is different from a private order submission.

4. Who receives information

We disclose relevant information to Shopify and service providers supporting store hosting, payments, order fulfillment, delivery, cloud storage, customer support, reviews, analytics, and security. We also share information with advertising and marketing partners as described below, subject to your choices and applicable law.

We may disclose information when you request or authorize it, to comply with valid legal process, to protect rights and prevent fraud, or in connection with a business transaction such as a sale or reorganization, subject to applicable protections.

During the preceding 12 months, the categories disclosed for these purposes include identifiers and contact information, order and commercial information, customer communications, device and internet activity information, and approximate location. Relevant service providers receive the categories needed for their services. Advertising and marketing partners may receive identifiers, commercial information, and device or usage information.

5. Shopify and enhanced services

Shopify hosts our store and collects and processes information about your visits, purchases, and interactions to provide and improve the services. Information is transmitted to Shopify and other providers that may be located outside the country where you live.

We use Shopify Network Intelligence and enhanced services to help protect, improve, and grow our business, including personalization and advertising services that can use information from your interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify. Shopify is responsible for processing associated with certain enhanced services and for handling applicable requests concerning that processing.

Learn more in Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy and use Shopify’s Privacy Portal to learn about or exercise applicable rights with Shopify.

6. Cookies, advertising, and privacy choices

Cookies and similar technologies support checkout and other essential features, remember preferences, measure use of the store, and support advertising. Read Shopify’s cookie information for information about technologies used to power Shopify stores. Where consent is required, use the available cookie controls to give or withdraw it. Browser controls can also restrict cookies, although doing so may affect store features.

Advertising-related disclosures of identifiers, commercial information, and usage data to advertising and marketing partners can constitute a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under applicable privacy laws. Our advertising-related disclosures during the preceding 12 months fall within these categories. These terms can apply even without a direct payment for the data.

Visit Your Privacy Choices to use the available opt-out controls, or contact hello@craftpilot.co for help or to submit an applicable opt-out request. Opting out of advertising-related sharing is separate from unsubscribing from marketing or requesting deletion.

Where applicable, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request for the browser and device sending it. If Shopify can associate that signal with a Shopify account, the request may also be applied to the account as described in Shopify’s privacy information. Other browser “Do Not Track” signals are not treated as equivalent requests. Choices may need to be applied separately on other browsers or devices.

7. Retention and security

Retention depends on the category of information and why it is needed. Contact, account, transaction, communication, and project information may be retained to maintain the account, fulfill and support orders, keep required business records, address disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Retention of device and usage information depends on the relevant technology, its purpose, and applicable settings and legal requirements. A deletion request may be subject to recordkeeping and other lawful exceptions.

No storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Please do not send passwords, full payment credentials, or unnecessary sensitive information in order notes, artwork, email, or chat.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to know or access personal information, request a copy, correct inaccuracies, delete information, opt out of sale or sharing or targeted advertising, and limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. You may also have rights to withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, or appeal a request decision. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.

Submit requests to hello@craftpilot.co or call (909) 203-0581. Use Your Privacy Choices for the available advertising-related controls. You do not need to create an account to submit a privacy request.

We may need to verify identity for access, correction, or deletion requests and confirm an authorized agent’s authority as permitted by law. We will not require identity verification for an opt-out where the law prohibits it. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines, explain any lawful refusal or extension, and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To appeal a decision where an appeal right applies, reply to our response or email us with “Privacy appeal” and enough information to identify the original request. You may also contact the appropriate privacy regulator or data protection authority.

9. Children and sensitive information

Our store is intended for adults purchasing products, including gifts for children; it is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Adults may provide a child’s name or other details to personalize a gift. Please provide only what is needed and only where you have authority to do so. Parents or guardians can contact us about deletion of a child’s information, subject to applicable requirements and exceptions.

We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share personal information of individuals under 16 for advertising purposes. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. Do not include sensitive details that are unnecessary to produce your item.

10. International processing and third-party links

Information may be stored or processed in the United States and other countries where Shopify and service providers operate. Where legally required, transfers are subject to recognized safeguards, such as approved contractual protections or adequacy decisions. Rights available under applicable law continue to apply.

Third-party websites and services linked from our store have their own privacy practices. Review their notices before providing information to them.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required.
